a) recording

this is your very first podfic: 10 pts
you have done 1 to 5 podfics: 3 pts
you have done more than 5 podfics: 1 pt

c) recording length
under ten minutes: 1 pt
10-30 minutes: 3 pts
30-60 minutes: 6 pts
over 60 minutes: 6 pts + 5 pts for each additional 30 minutes
(er, this is unclear: 60=6 pts. 61-89=11 pts. 90-119=16 pts. you get the drift.)

Question re: my status as a reader: I have one podbang under my belt and also two short pieces, so I have at least three podfics so far. I have also a very short part (1-2 sentences) in Queensguard and a small part (two short sections) in Written by the Victors. Does that mean I have done 5 podfics? 3? Something inbetween?

I also made a small snippet for Queensguard (three sentences) and am in the process of posting my first (self made) podfic at the moment. Do I get 10 or 3 points? Thanks for a great community, btw. :)

I'm sorry. I feel like I ended up buggin' you guys a bunch of times a day. :( Sorry. I have a question: one of the fics that I'm working on, is the prequel to a slash story. The author puts the story in the friendship/pre-slash column of pairing. So, I've got to ask, would it qualify as gen or pre-slash? And if it's pre-slash does it count as a pairing?

I'm not a mod, but when I read a story I generally label pre-slash as simply "Gen" (no pairing) if neither of the primary characters demonstrate any obvious signs of romantic affection. If there's nothing that wouldn't pass for friendship, it would be better to share with the people who like reading about the relationship between those characters but avoid full-on slash like the plague.

So, I guess, ask yourself: Would someone who doesn't like slash mind listening to this?

According to my tally, as of Wednesday I had 181 points. I was wondering if someone could quickly point out the mistakes I made when writing down the point total for each recording, so I don't continue making them.

(I apologize if this is a dim question, or if it's already been answered elsewhere. My brain is fried from exams).

I recently posted a podfic that focused on two pairings (both are equally important to the story, I feel, without one having more "limelight" than the other), but I marked it as one pairing with the points to match. (Morgana Le Fay/Guinevere, 5 points). But I've noticed that sometimes podfics have been given points for both pairings, and wondered whether I should edit the points on my post for eight points (Morgana/Gwen and Arthur/Merlin)?

Thank you if you can make sense of my question at all :)

It's okay, questions are good!

If both pairings are significant to the story, you get points for each of them! We leave the judgment call up to the podficcer on whether a second pairing is significant enough in the story to merit points, but it sounds clear to me in this case that you should get Gwen/Morgana points on this one.

Please do go ahead and update your points on that post :)

I am delighted to see myself in the list, but as my only contribution was to lunate8's Wait Wait podfic, which garnered 17 points, I don't think I should wind up with 19 points.
